How to find model number for your fridge for Whirlpool and change for water filter

Your model number may be located in a variety of locations:

Top-freezer Refrigerator
Side-by-Side Refrigerator
French-door Refrigerator

Places to look:

  • Ceiling of refrigerator interior
  • Inside walls of refrigerator or freezer (possibly behind drawers)
  • Frame behind the door when the door is opened
  • Behind the kickplate
  • On the back of the refrigerator

Once you find your rectangular product tag, your model number is located on the left, middle side of the tag. Note: the model number is different from the serial number.
